Installed the Toe Plate: 

I cut out a piece of brass for the toe plate. This was brass the same thickness as exposed by the butt plate. Then I inlet it into the stock. Once this was done, I used a "safe" file to cut into the exposed edge of the butt plate so the toe plate fit into it. 

Then I filed the lower thickness of the butt plate down. This allowed me to peen the edge over on top of the toeplate. Once this was done, then I filed the edge down and smoothed it out.
