The Pistol As Received

The lock had two holes drilled and tapped in the middle of the lock. This was where the lock bolt and tang bolt were positioned.

The tang on the barrel was too long and it was not centered. When I went to remove the barrel tang, I discovered it was not tight. When I tightened it, it changed the bottom flat of the barrel and now the tenon he had put on already was now on the lower side of the barrel and not on the bottom.

Although I did not get a photo of the trigger plate area, it had a vast amount of wood missing. The trigger plate was not inletted fully. The trigger guard was not cleaned up and had brass casting material still on the guard when he attempted to inlet it into the stock. You can see this near the forward tab on the trigger guard. Also, the trigger guard tab was inletted into the ramrod channel. This would now allow the ramrod to fully seat down the length of the ramrod channel.
