Shaped the Lock Panel:
Copying the shape of the original, I made this panel to match the original.

Then I made a paper tracing and transferred this pattern to the side plate
side. Here is the panel with the two inlays in place prior to inletting into the
stock. The large side plate inlay on the left covered the pin for the trigger
guard. Also, you can see the other inlays cut out and ready to be inletted
later.
As you may have noticed, I had already inletted the trigger guard into the
stock, too. 
Now I am ready to start inletting the moon and the pick holder on to the
buttstock.
