Stain was applied to the stock when dried after 4 hours, the process of hand
rubbing three coats onto the stock proceeded with the stock drying between
coats. Then we used 0000 steel wool between the 3rd and 4 coats. Here you
can see Brian rubbing the oil onto the stock and the following are various
photos of the stock. (click on photos for larger image.)



We needed the lock put together and I could not resist
this photo. This is Brian trying to remember how the lock went back to together.
He insisted on doing it himself. He figured it out, but I had a good laugh
watching him. '
